DENISE BILLINGHAM -
Helper for Rally’s and Shows

Denise is another stalwart of our Riding Club, having been a member since the early 2000’s.
She is a fabulous supporter at so many events and clinics, as well as being an active clinic attendee with her gorgeous gelding Sam.
Denise is always available to help at the Summer Shows with the set up and tidy up including helping store all our jumps over the winter months. She also organises our meetings (and the chips, for which we are very grateful!)
Although she doesn’t have an official role, we call her an Allrounder as you ask her to be somewhere to help, and she’s there!

Q- How long have you been riding?
A- 70yrs! Too long!
Q- When did you join ESRC?
A- In the 1970’s
Q- Who inspires you in the equine world?
A- Emily Philp. She is a local Eventer who grew up at our local Pony Club and now has her own string of 4* Eventers.
Q- What’s your favourite horse discipline?
A- Team Chasing when I was abit younger
Q- If you could own any horse past or present who would it be?
A- Desert Orchid
Q- What’s your silliest horse related injury?
A- Having barbed wire wrapped around my neck and ending up in A&E. Quite frightening at the time but silly looking back.

A- Olympia
Q- Mare or Gelding?
A- Don’t mind either really, i’v had both.

A- People who neglect their animals
