A top effort by all riders!
Sunday 15th October ‘23
Well done to our ESRC competitors at the arena eventing qualifier this weekend at Dallas Burston Polo Club.
Sarah was making her debut and was clear till the final fence for a very respectable 10th place. Laura jumped a fabulous clear but picked up penalties for going to fast! Finally Patsy jumped a lovely round but just rolled a couple of coloured poles.
Nice to see super groom Sydney there too. Well done girls on a fabulous effort.
Winner & more at the Arena Eventing Qualifiers!
Saturday & Sunday 15/16th October ‘22
This weekend we took two senior teams and three senior individuals to the Arena Eventing Qualifiers at Dallas Burston.
Saturday was the 70cm class and Sharon Stokes & Tom Wade loved their first ever attempt at it, coming home with a clear SJ but a couple of green stops on the XC which they jumped lovely at the second time of asking. Gina Seggar & Daisy were in flying form and finished with a fabulous double clear bang on the time and won the class! Well done you two.
Sunday was the 80cm & 90cm class. In the 80 we had Patsy Pyke & Wild Edric, Racheal Kneller & Titan Diamond, Charlotte Perry & Batman and Laura Leigh & Diesel. Patsy and Racheal both had a couple of SJ’s down but both flew round the XC section. Charlotte had one SJ and the joker down, but her interesting route on the XC left her close to the optimum time and best of the ESRC riders individually. Laura did fantastic at her & Diesel’s first go and they went clear SJ but had one green stop at the narrow hedge, but popped it lovely second time. There was alot of problems at a combination on a bend but all our members got through that no problem, so well done girls!
Next was the turn of the 90’s and Kiki Anderson on Hogan & Kirstie Morris on Fulwoods Sensation both did lovely double clears and finished in individual 2nd & 3rd place! Well done girls.
Harriet Davies & Cunniffe Master Craftsman had two poles down SJ but we’re clear XC and Alice Robinson with Vintage Cool were clear until they rolled the final fence-the dreaded joker! But a great effort by the pair and this helped the team to finish 2nd overall.
Patsy also went in the 80cm Open class as an individual and made a great effort with newbie Riding Club ex-racehorse Eddie, who had a couple of poles down in the SJ but flew the XC finishing 7th.
Congratulations to everyone who took part this weekend and especially to Gina who will be heading to the championships at Aston Le Walls next spring!
