What a day!
Sunday 10th September ‘23
What a super day we had!
On Sunday, 12 of our Team Quest riders travelled to a very hot and sunny Radfords for the British Dressage - Quest Club Semi Finals. There were lots of tough competition, with only the best 10 teams from the local area competing, from the original 45 on our leaderboard! All the riders & their horses coped so well with the atmosphere & the heat, and we had some super results!
We had 3 riders qualify for the My Quest finals who were first up! Nicola Nicholls was 5th, Lynn Aucott was 7th and Louise Glover was 10th. Super results guys! To be in the top 12 riders out of almost 50 combinations was a brilliant result.
Next was the team competitions. Everyone rode brilliantly & we ended up as follows:
Team Only Fools on Horses Louise Glover, Gemma, Kate Ness & Julie Whittingham finished up 10th.
Team Three Wheelers Nina, Anne Tracy & Lisa Bartlett finished up 9th.
Team Trotters Lynn Aucott, Nikki Nichols, Katie & Gina Seggar finished on the podium in 3rd.
This means that Trotters have potentially earned a place at the Nationals! (Just waiting to see how the other semi-finals go before this is confirmed.)
A huge thank you to everyone who came to support us - Angela Young & Kathryn Roberts for being such amazing callers and just genuinely lovely and supportive people. Sharon Stokes for all your hard work at the start of the season & for coming back to support yesterday - can’t wait to see you back in action next year. There is also a few riders who sadly didn’t ride yesterday but put in lots of work across the season for us: Megan Baxter, Laura Thearle, Juliet Esp, Rachel Aspinall, Emily Peters, Katier Scott, Mary Chester, Sarah Platts & Heather Stiles. Well done everyone!

East Shropshire go to the Nationals
Sunday 30th October ‘22
A wonderful weekend at Bury Farm for the Team Quest Nationals where East Shropshire qualified a team!
Although no ribbons, there were some super tests and lots of lovely memories made for everyone involved.
Gina Seggar & Daisy produced a cracking test despite the wind & rain which decided to pour (right as they were finishing their test!)
Sharon Stokes and Tom Wade rode a lovely test and we’re thrilled with their effort explaining that everyone definitely held their own against very strong competition.
Julie Whittingham & Colourless and Rachel Aspinall & Peanut we’re also in attendance and both did wonderful pleasing tests.
For a lot of our riders and horses, it was their first time staying away at an event. So it was a great experience for both and lots of fun had.
Our Team Questers have done our club so proud this year and have been in the ribbons at virtually every show, winning a few as well. We hope they continue their success next year and we look forward to following their journey into 2023!

More amazing results for ESRC!
Tuesday 21st June ‘22
During June, we’ve had two more successful outings with both teams. Firstly, ESRC ventured to Radfords Equestrian on 4th June where Julie Whittingham, Lynn Aucott and Emily Peters posted some super scores and bagged us a Team Second and a Team Sixth - many thanks to you guys for venturing over there and doing the club proud.
(Photos below very kindly taken by Katier Scott)
On the 19th June we then headed off to Kingswood Equestrian. Two completely different teams rode in this event - it’s lovely to have so many people interested. There were some super scores achieved, putting us in Team Second and Team Fourth.
Thank you to Rachel Aspinall, Sharon Stokes, Caroline Suthren, Karen Rees, Rachel Reddihough, Juliet Esp and Lesley Bennett for riding at Kingswood!
We are proud of everyone who puts in the time to train and ride at these events - you’re all doing amazingly and it’s so nice to see how you’re all progressing.
We also had the amazing news yesterday that our ESRC Only Fools on Horses Team is now currently in a qualifying position for the Regional Finals!
Romilly Esp and Katier Scott have also kindly been taking photos for us. Well done ladies!

Another successful Team Quest outing for our two teams at Kingswood Equestrian Centre.
Super tests ridden by everyone - so proud of you and your horses.
Team 2nd and Team 3rd with our team members taking the top spot in all 3 team quest classes! Just narrowly missing out on the win by a measly 2%!
Well done to all of our riders Julie Whittingham, Juliet Esp, Sharon Stokes and Sarah Platts - you were all super!
Our next outing will hopefully be on 4th June at Radfords Equestrian if anyone would like to come along and support the girls.
East Shropshire Team Quest well and truly flying the flag for us! Well done everyone.
