Eventing teams
Eventing:
A Dressage test, then a round of Show Jumps an hour or so later, then a round of Cross Country an hour or so after that. Then an overall score for all three disciplines determines the final result. Eventing takes place in summer and is always on grass. To find out more….go to our Rules & Regulations page.

Well done firstly to Beverley Snaith on her fabulous 6th place in the 100 class.
Patsy Pyke was best of 80 classes in 10th with Eddie. Jenny Millman was 11th with 44.8 time penalties on her novice ex-racehorse Edna, but clear jumping so she’s very happy with her. One for the future!
Sarah Turner jumped two lovely clears with her mare but needs a better satnav!
Kiki Anderson rode her inexperienced grey really well, he will be great with some more experience under his belt.
Thanks to our supporters Katie MJ, Rachel Reddihough, Caroline Holder and Linda Anderson and the girls who gave up their weekend to be helpers as fence judges.
Alice & Vinnie putting in 100%!

A huge congratulations to our Senior member Alice Robinson who competed at the NAF British Riding Clubs Eventing Championships at Swalcliffe this weekend with her superstar horse Vinnie (Vintage Cool)
After a pb Dressage of 30.6 and a super clear in the SJ, they were lying in 6th place overnight so it was all to play for on Sunday in the XC.
Unfortunately things didn’t quite go to plan and Alice blames herself for two jockey errors incurring 40 penalties at the final two combinations. Alice dropped to 26th which was a huge shame as they were cruising round, but we are thrilled for her to just qualify and take on a very tough course and very tough competition. (The winner finished on her Dressage score of 27 with a double clear!)
It was a taxing XC course of accuracy and fitness as the whole course was up and down some tiring hills. There were plenty of A,B,C’s, jumps into dark, two water complexes and some huge ditches!
Alice would have finished 5th if she went clear, so that made her feel better as she wanted a sash and she wouldn’t have got a sash below 3rd!
We are very proud of Alice to qualify in the first place and even put in such a fantastic effort for us. They will both come away with a great experience which will get them all set for next season.
Well done Alice & Vinnie! Our hero’s.
